Creating a bridge between panel design and control systems design
In the 2010- 2014 timeframe, DC Engineering’s Controls personnel were regularly encountering an opportunity for improvement. In many system start-ups, the team was running into control panels that did not integrate seamlessly with their engineered control systems. The result was that the DC team & other project team members ended up doing the time-consuming troubleshooting and re-work at a critical juncture of the project.
As a way to potentially address the disconnect between panel fabrication and design intent, the team started building control panels for clients.
The result was what they had hoped for; properly built panels that enabled a smooth integration during systems start-ups, and an overall design that set clients up well for ongoing operational sustainability.
Providing control panels and other hardware solutions
Today, DCE Solutions now builds control panels for many of our clients from our the DCE Solutions Panel Shop in Meridian, ID. Most of these panels are built and delivered in conjunction with DC Engineering’s controls engineering services, and many are configured and tested before they are shipped to the job site, allowing for more efficient start-ups.
The company also provides instrumentation in light of system design and operational intent, as well as to develop, test, and integrate customized solutions.
In addition to providing control panels and instrumentation, the DCE Solutions Development Lab creates solutions for unique client applications.
